California
- HUD Section 8 Housing – HUD helps apartment owners offer reduced rents to low-income tenants. To apply, contact or visit the management office of each apartment building that interests you.

Indiana
- Housing for Hoosiers - renter rights and rental assistance

New Hampshire
- Section 8 Housing – Provides housing to low income households in New Hampshire. Qualified applicants pay a portion of their adjusted income towards rent and utilities and New Hampshire Housing pays the rest to the landlord. Call 1-800-439-7247 for an application to be mailed to you or apply online.
- NH CAP Offices – Provides assistance with Low Income Housing, security deposit, fuel and electric assistance. Utilize the link above to be directed to local CAP office
